Eight Theories for Game Of Thrones Season 8
By Shika Budhoo

Seasonal Spoilers for Game of Thrones ahead!

1. The Valonqar is NOT JAIME LANNISTER
The theory states:
“When your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you.”
Jaime has only one hand so he cannot wrap his HANDS around anyone’s throat. Also the only reason for Cersei to cry real tears now is if Jaime dies. So if he is dead he cannot be the Valonqar.

2. Who Will ...

How do you know you're a freelancer? Well, when in many conversations with typical 9 to 5 people you often find yourself in this conversation:

Them: So, What do you do?

You: I'm a Freelancer

You: Yes really why?

Them: How do you manage to do that in this day and age? I mean every thing is so expensive!

You: Yeah... (You shrug) Its what I do...

And that's the truth!

Wether you're a performer writer photographer or corporate freel...

Failure is a part of life. Wether its a job you didn't get, a client who didn't sign or a fitness goal you didn't reach by deadline. The truth is IT HAPPENS! To everyone! And when I say everyone I mean absolutely E.V.E.R.Y.O.N.E!

Five Mood Lifters - When The New Year Starts Getting Old!

Posted by Shika Budhoo on Thursday, January 10, 2019,

It's a New Year and the celebrations are slowing down. Its back to work for most of us, back to school, back to life, back to reality! Sometime the "come down" from the festive time can leave you in a lull.

Unlike the 90's when we needed mood rings to tell us our emotional ebb and flow, the millennium has grown our consciousness and awareness inward. Many of us know the moment our mood drops and (unfortunately) sometimes we wallow in it. But knowing we're in a dull mood doesn't necessarily me...

Braai Day Hijacks Our Heritage

Posted by Shika Budhoo on Friday, September 21, 2018,

Ok so nevermind the fact that every year for "BRAAI DAY" we (Tamils and some Hindi's- lol) fast from meat so we cannot enjoy the lekker braais with the rest of the nation... I understand its our choice to fast and so we must take it as it is and sacrifice being part of a national day. Yes...
But...
I think Braai Day happening on the same day distracts from the importance of Heritage Day (The way the Comrades was moved from Youth Day cos its was a distraction from the true significance of the da...

Mirror Mirror... Make Up... (Is In) Your Mind

Posted by Shika Budhoo on Friday, July 20, 2018,
A friend of mine posted this on facebook and it got me thinking, so thought I would post my reponse as a blog.

For decades (and longer) make up and its use to "beautify" and enhance ones apperance has been forced onto females in all aspects of their life. Their "roles models" in the form of tv and film music etc. personalities are not all 'Alicia Keys'. The many role models in all spheres of life don't flaunt their make-up free imperfect faces, instead many run make up brands to make the ordin...

(This is a facebook post I decided to post on my blog because of the responses it had)

Paddy Pahalad posted this Self Analysis post earlier and tonights Full moon got me thinking about self analysis, awareness (self and general) and consciousness.

In my self analysis journey I am constantly trying to make sure what I say and do are in alignment with what i think and I am constantly aiming for authentic improvement.
I am the observer of my own thoughts and patterns, somedays its eas...

Pink or blue... The big reveal...

Posted by Shika Budhoo on Thursday, May 10, 2018,

I saw this miniature broom set at a popular baby shop. Having a three year old boy who is ALWAYS playing with the house broom, I thought ‘THIS IS BRILLIANT’, because I can now teach him to start helping around the house instead of just making a mess for me to clean up alone. But they only had this pink set, in what we all know as ‘the pink aisle’ a.k.a the girls aisle. The boy’s aisle of toys had trucks and cars, golf sets and a few gardening items, but no broom, no hand broom and n...

Would you be ok if your child was Sponge Bob? - My views on Supervision and Age Approprite Viewing in The Formative Years

Posted by Shika Budhoo on Saturday, May 5, 2018,

I titled this particularly, because as an adult I love Sponge Bob, he is whacky, emotionally unstable and a little bit crazy, which makes for great entertainment. The fact that he is an animated character has led a lot of parents to allow their children of all ages to watch his adventures. But I am not one of those parents. My son is 3, and emulates almost everything he sees, so I am very restrictive in what I show him so as not to create an undesired behaviour. I mean if my son had an emotio...

Because Your In laws Aren't Your Outlaws - #FamilyFriday

Posted by Shika Budhoo on Friday, May 4, 2018,

"Remember daughter in laws are also someone else's daughters, treat them with respect like you do your own daughter." A post by Elaine Caroll Barrat on Charous Corner Group on Facebook. This facebook post inspired this blog post and I agree that is absolutely true.

And we must also remember Father In Laws and Mother In Laws are also someones Father and someones Mother too, so treat them with the respect you treat your own Father and Mother.

And of course family always has tensions and arguments...

Whats the best age for a child to go to School? Would a compulsory age help parents?

Posted by Shika Budhoo on Friday, May 4, 2018,
In my personal opinion: No it wouldn't be easier with a compulsory age.

Imposing a compulsory age to start school, I think, will cause more harm. Sending a child to creche in their formative years has become a norm in current society, which I think has spurred this urgency of "going to big school" and in turn it has made some parents 'education crazy'.

I am also a drama coach who uses drama games and techniques to help shape my son's interactions with his world. I am fortunate enough to be ho...
